Pro Football Weekly forums

Rules of conduct

As has always been the case, we hope that our forums provide you with the interactive opportunity to share your views with other fans. However, we also expect each of you to respect our rules of forum etiquette so that this event continues to be beneficial to everyone.

By participating in our forums, you are agreeing that you have read the following rules and agree to abide by them as you participate in the PFW forums:

  1. Write so that people will understand you — Your comments should be written in clear and readable sentences. AVOID BLASTING YOUR COMMENTS IN CAPITAL LETTERS.
  2. Be specific and stay on topic — Try to keep your responses as brief as possible and stay focused on the subject of the forum thread.
  3. Stick to football and related subjects — These forums are not intended for discussions of politics, religion, race or ethnicity, except to the extent that these subjects may specifically relate to football.
  4. Don't be anonymous; be yourself — If you have something important to say, why not sign it so people can respond to you, either in the forum or privately. Stand behind your comments by letting others in the forum know who you are.
  5. Respect others — Our forums are moderated, and we will screen and filter offensive postings. Swearing and the use of inappropriate slang will not be tolerated. Please be respectful of others and don't say things that could be construed as rude, insulting or offensive to others.
  6. Don't go on the attack — At times, postings can become heated and escalate to a battle of words between a few participants. That is not the purpose of these forums. These attacks are called "flaming," and this will not be tolerated. We want our forums to be a positive experience for our fans. People who have the need to debate a topic excessively should handle it outside our forums.
  7. Don't advertise — The advertising of products, services and/or other Web sites is not allowed and will be removed.

Pro Football Weekly reserves the right to determine what is considered offensive and/or inappropriate posting information and to remove this content from the Web site. We also reserve the right to ban violators of these rules from the PFW forums.

I agree to abide by these rules of conduct and want to join the forums now
