This season the Fantasy Doctor will answer a few of our readers' fantasy questions on an almost daily basis, Monday through Friday. Send your questions to the Doc at the address above.

Have already drafted and not entirely happy. Whilst I have Tony Romo as QB and my WRs include Terrell Owens and Anquan Boldin and my TE is Antonio Gates, my RBs are Laurence Maroney, Reggie Bush and I have taken a gamble on Matt Forté. I recently picked up off of waivers Brett Favre mainly as trade bait but am now wondering whether to stay with Favre and try for a "blockbuster" trade with Romo for a stud RB and possibly a good defence. Interesting??

— Ian, London, England

Wow, a question all the way from England, pretty cool. Good to know there are fans of the NFL across the pond. As for your dilemma, Ian, I don't think you're in as bad of shape as you may think. You have a top-tier QB in Romo, a great receiving duo in T.O. and Boldin and the most productive TE in Gates. I can see why you'd be a bit concerned about your RBs since you don't have a true No. 1 back, but I actually like the three guys you have a lot. I see Maroney and Forté as being terrific sleeper picks, and I think Bush is due for a rebound after last year's disappointment. It was wise to add Favre off waivers, but I don't think it'd be smart to have him as your No. 1 QB just yet. We still don't know where's he going to land, which will have a big impact on his value, and he could struggle early on while learning a new offense. I'd say to stand pat with your roster and hope that your RBs pan out like I think they will.

Dear Doc,
I got a dilemma — I don't know who to keep in my keeper league. I finished second to last in my league last year. I was just wondering who you would keep. We can only keep one pick from our team last year. The players that I am thinking about keeping are Ryan Grant, Jamal Lewis, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Antonio Gates or Marc Bulger. The only problem is that the draft is going to be random like we did last year so I could end up with the first pick but could end up with the last pick. Also, most of the good players are going to be kept by the other teams. I was just wondering what makes the most sense out of the 5 players that I mentioned to keep.

— Benny Spielman

I can see why you're having trouble with this decision, Benny. Both RBs, Housh and Gates are all enticing keepers, but the guy with the most upside is Grant, so I'd retain him. Housh should have another big year, but he has to compete with Chad Johnson for catches in the Bengals' offense. Gates' production is almost impossible to get from a tight end, but his toe injury is a bit worrisome since it could keep him out for the beginning of the season. Between your backs, Grant is the younger of the two by a few years and has a lot less mileage than does Lewis. Also, Grant will be leaned on heavily as QB Aaron Rodgers adapts to his starting role, whereas the Browns have a very effective passing attack that they'll utilize quite often. I think that Grant is in store to have the better 2008, but if you don't fully trust him, Lewis wouldn't be a bad choice, either.
