This season the Fantasy Doctor will answer a few of our readers' fantasy questions on an almost daily basis, Monday through Friday. Send your questions to the Doc at the address above.
Doctor, here's my problem. I can keep two of the three following players: Tom Brady, Randy Moss, and Steven Jackson. In my 10-team league, we are able to keep the players in the same round we drafted them the previous year. I have the possiblity of getting Jackson in the 1st round, Moss in the 4th, and Brady in the 5th. I plan on definitely keeping Brady, and I'm leaning toward Moss because he'd be a tremendous value in the 4th. But I also think Jackson is up for a huge year. Any advice?
— Hot Mustard
You certainly have an awesome trio of players to choose from, Hot Mustard. I agree with your logic of keeping Brady as a fifth rounder — he a first-round talent. Picking between Moss and Jackson isn't as easy, though. If it were simply a matter of who's better and the round they were picked didn't matter, I'd say to keep S-Jax. However, in your situation, I'd recommend holding on to Moss. There's nobody in the fourth round that will be nearly as productive as the Pats' wideout. I think Jackson will have a huge year as well, but you can get a fairly comparable player in Round One. Having Brady, Moss and a first-round pick, you should be in great shape.
Hey Doc, what are your projections for Marion Barber III down in Dallas? Do you see Felix Jones stealing much/if any of his carries? Thanks!
— Brian Syfert
I really like Barber this season, Brian. Now that he's the Cowboys' workhorse, I think he's in store for big numbers. I could see him rushing for about 1,200 yards and at least 12 TDs, and it wouldn't surprise me if he finished '08 as a top-five running back. The rookie Felix Jones will probably be used as a change-of-pace back this year, so I don't envision him stealing a ton of carries. He's extremely fast in open space and probably will break some big plays, but he's not the type of RB that can take a constant pounding. Jones has some upside as a late-round fantasy grab, but Barber should be a borderline first-round pick.
