This season the Fantasy Doctor will answer a few of our readers' fantasy questions on an almost daily basis, Monday through Friday. Send your questions to the Doc at the address above.
Doc,
I got picks 12 & 13 in an upcoming re-draft league, standard scoring. I pretty much know who will be taken ahead of me and I had decided to go with Ryan Grant and Terrell Owens. I'm still set on T.O., but Grant's situation is giving me second thoughts. If I didn't take Grant, I'm really leaning toward Maurice Jones-Drew even though I know it's too high, but I really like him better than a guy like Larry Johnson or Willis McGahee. If not MoJo I may go crazy and grab Reggie Wayne. Thoughts on two guys at the end of that round? Thanks.
— Sean Currie
Well, Sean, with Grant's situation now OK and T.O. having a great camp, I think those guys would be fine to grab with picks 12 and 13. As the Packers' workhorse, Grant should be a more consistent producer than M.J.D., who often takes a backseat to starter Fred Taylor. Jones-Drew will probably score a lot of TDs, but he could have some weeks where he puts up a dud. If you're hesitant about Grant, I'd at least consider taking L.J. I know he's a risk with that awful O-line, but his potential is enormous. He also is healthy now and appears to have a much better attitude entering this season than he has in years past. I'd rank both guys ahead of McGahee or Wayne.
Doc,
Quick rundown: 6 points for all TDs.
Scoring Categories: Passing: 1pt per Comp and 1pt per 20 yds; Rushing: 1pt per 10 yds; Receiving: 1pt per 15 yds
I'm in a keeper league and need to choose one ... Drew Brees, Frank Gore, or Marion Barber. Thanks for your time.

I don't think I've ever seen a scoring system that awards one point per completion, but to me that, along with all TDs being worth six points, skews the league way in favor of QBs. In your situation, I think you have no choice but to keep Brees. I mean, with traditional scoring I would say Gore is the best of the three, but not in this league. Brees set the single-season record for completions in '07 with 440, which is a very important stat in your scoring system. If he even comes close to that this year and manages to throw for 4,000 yards and 25 TDs as well, he's likely to finish as a top-five scorer in your league. I say to take advantage of the rules and hold on to Brees.
