This season the Fantasy Doctor will answer a few of our readers' fantasy questions on an almost daily basis, Monday through Friday. Send your questions to the Doc at the address above.

Hi Fantasy Doctor,
I need your advice. I have the #1 pick in a 12-person league, and our league rules give a higher scoring advantage for QBs, specifically for every 25 yards you get 1 point if total passing yards are from 0-100, 2 points from 101-200 yards, 3 points from 201-300, 4 points from 301-400 yards, etc. So if Tom Brady throws for 300 yards that would be 24 points without even adding any touchdowns he would throw (which is still 4 points per passing touchdown). I'm thinking conservatively Brady will throw for 3,500-4,000 yards with 30-35 TDs this year. So my question is this, would you pick Brady over LaDainian Tomlinson under these league rules (RB and WR are standard scoring rules) with the #1. I'm leaning toward doing this, am I crazy? Not sure if I would get one of the top-5 QBs coming back in the 2nd and 3rd round with this new QB scoring rule in place, but obviously I won't get a top-10 RB either. What would you do. Thanks.

— Jets Nation

I'm guessing it can't be easy for someone from Jets Nation to draft Brady No. 1 overall, but it very well may be the wisest move in your case. With this scoring system, passing yardage becomes extremely valuable, and nobody threw for more yards than Brady last season. In fact, he had eight games of 300 passing yards or more; in your league, that stat really matters. Given that Brady will throw for around 4,000 yards and probably 35 TDs, I can't imagine anyone topping him under these rules. Of course, it's tough to pass on L.T., but there will be some decent RBs available in the second and third rounds that you can target.

Doc,
I’m in a 10-team league with a serpentine draft and I have the 10th pick. I’m thinking about targeting a WR with either pick 30 or 31. Who do you like the best out of T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Torry Holt, Chad Johnson or Anquan Boldin? Better yet, what order would you rank those four guys? My league gives a point every 10 yards, 3 bonus points for going over 100 in a game, and 6 points per TD. Thanks for the help.

— Rich

Well, Rich, all four guys are great players, but the pick for me would be Johnson. It's close between him and Housh, but Chad's ability to have huge yardage games gives him the slight edge, especially with your league awarding bonus points for 100-yard games. I like Housh a lot this year, too, but he's not going to put up quite the crazy stats that Ocho Cinco will. I would rank the four in this order: Johnson, Housh, Holt, Boldin. Be careful with Holt, though. He's got a bad knee and could go down at any moment.
