Hi,
I really need your help this week. I am in a keeper league where we start 4 RBs, and I have been able to acquire some solid ones. It's a PPR league, 1 pt for 10 yds rushing/receiving & 5 pts per TD. I have Frank Gore, Marion Barber, Earnest Graham, Chris Perry, LenDale White, Fred Taylor & Rashard Mendenhall. I am not sure who to start this week (except Gore & Barber, they are automatic). I'm leaning towards Graham and Perry for the other two spots, but Taylor and Mendenhall (with Willie Parker out) look promising. Who do you recommend? Thanks.

— Jeff, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada

Well, Jeff, you have some nice options here after your big two of Gore and Barber. First, however, I would rule out White, because of his tough matchup with the Vikings, and Mendenhall, because of both a difficult opponent in Baltimore and his inexperience. That leaves you to choose two of the other three. I really like Graham's matchup with the Packers this week, as they're allowing 5.7 yards per carry, and Graham is averaging 6.0 yards per rush. Start him. Finally, it's close between Perry and Taylor, who both have favorable opponents, but I'd give the slight edge to Perry. He's been getting the ball a ton (20 carries per game) and has scored twice, compared to no TDs for Taylor. I think Perry is the better bet to have a productive fantasy day.

Hey Doc,
Boy, do I need a booster shot, and it's only Week 4. Here are my symptoms that I need help in curing:
QB---Carson Palmer, J.T. O'Sullivan or David Garrard
RB---(Joseph Addai's on a bye) Thomas Jones, Pierre Thomas, Jonathan Stewart or Chris Perry
WR---need 3...Santonio Holmes, Chad Ocho Cinco, Roddy White or Bryant Johnson
Def--BAL, SD, AZ
Any prescription will be greatly appreciated.

— Brian, York, Pa.

Ok, Brian, I'll try to help you out with these tough decisions. At QB, I like all three guys' matchups, but I think Palmer is the best bet to have a huge day. He absolutely torched the Browns in Week Two of '07, throwing for 401 yards and six TDs, and he finally started to look like himself again last week after a slow start. At RB, I'm not sure how many you can start, so I'll just tell you what I think of all four backs. I said above that I think Perry will have a good day, and I also believe Stewart could be in for a big game against the Falcons, who haven't been able to stop the run. Thomas always has a good chance at scoring a TD, but I don't think he'll give you much in terms of yardage. I actually don't like Jones' matchup all that much against the Cards, who've been surprisingly good against the run. At WR, Bryant Johnson is clearly the weakest of the bunch, so I'd definitely start the other three. Finally, I like the Chargers' defense facing the Raiders. They should be able to force some TOs and hold Oakland to a low point total.
