Ravens sign former Chargers FB Neal

The Ravens signed veteran FB Lorenzo Neal on Tuesday.
Neal, who played for the Chargers last season, bolsters the Ravens' FB depth. Le'Ron McClain, who was slated to be the starting fullback, could get more work at running back with Willis McGahee potentially missing the rest of the preseason because of a knee injury.
“I think he’s just another good back in the meeting room,” Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron said of Neal, according to the team's Web site. “He’s one of the finest professionals that I’ve had the privilege to work with."
Neal, who has also played for Cincinnati, Tennessee, Tampa Bay, the N.Y. Jets and New Orleans, is entering his 16th NFL season.
