Cross Mark Cuban off the list of potential suitors for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Cuban, a Pittsburgh native and the owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks, told CNBC.com Tuesday that he is not interested in buying the Steelers because he believed small-market clubs were operating at a disadvantage in the NFL's salary-cap system.
The Steelers announced Monday that the team's ownership will be restructured to come into compliance with NFL policy on gambling. The Rooney family, which owns the Steelers, also owns race tracks in New York and Florida. Steelers chairman Dan Rooney is reportedly working to buy ownership shares from some of his four brothers who are choosing to remain in the gaming business.
