Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said Monday that QB Matt Schaub will keep his starting job after throwing three interceptions in a 31-12 loss at Tennessee in Week Three.
“I thought he made some tremendous plays early in the game,” Kubiak said at his Monday press conference. He added, "There’s a lot of mistakes. It’s not one guy."
Schaub completed 17-of-37 passes for 188 yards with no TD passes. Two of his interceptions came in the second half.
In other Texans news, Kubiak said that RB Steve Slaton, who rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries on Sunday, is now the starter.
"He's got a chance to be a fine player," Kubiak said.
