Simms finally finds work, lands with Titans

Ex-Buccaneers QB Chris Simms has agreed to terms with the Titans and will serve as Tennessee's backup quarterback while Vince Young recovers from a knee injury.
The 6-4, 220-pound Simms has not played in an NFL regular-season game since 2006, when he suffered a ruptured spleen in his third start of the season. Simms, 28, has thrown 12 TDs and 17 interceptions and has started 15 games in his NFL career.
Young is expected to miss 2-4 weeks after spraining the medial collateral ligament in his left knee in Tennessee's season-opening win vs. Jacksonville. Kerry Collins will start in his place, and there's a chance he could keep the starting job going forward, The Tennessean reported Wednesday.
Simms was considered for the Ravens' backup QB job before Baltimore signed Todd Bouman. He also was scheduled to work out for New England before the Patriots changed their minds.
