The solicitor’s office in Fulton County, Ga., filed misdemeanor battery charges against Broncos WR Brandon Marshall on Sept. 10, according to reports. No court date has been set. The charges stem from an alleged incident that took place on March 4 in Atlanta.
Marshall was in a Denver court on Sept. 12 when he pled guilty to a reduced charge of driving while ability impaired. He was sentenced to a year of probation. Marshall was suspended for the first three games of this season by Commissioner Roger Goodell for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, but the punishment was reduced to one game.
The third-year veteran had 18 catches, which tied for the second-most in a single game in league history, for 166 yards and a touchdown in his Week Two debut.
