The Broncos made a pair of roster moves on Tuesday, releasing SS Hamza Abdullah and placing C Tom Nalen on injured reserve, according to reports.
Abdullah’s career with Denver took a sharp decline. He started eight games in 2007 and was expected to be the team’s No. 1 strong safety again as he entered training camp in July. He suffered a groin injury, however, and lost his spot to Marquand Manuel.
Nalen, a 15th-year veteran, was limited throughout training camp by knee pain and was sidelined for the first three games by the lingering ailment. He has undergone two knee surgeries since June.
