The game of musical quarterbacks continues in Kansas City, as head coach Herm Edwards announced Wednesday that QB Damon Huard will start Sunday's game against the Broncos. This marks the third time the team has changed its starting QB since Week One.
Huard takes over for Tyler Thigpen, who struggled mightily last week in his first NFL start. Thigpen completed just 39 percent of his passes and threw three interceptions at Atlanta, forcing Edwards to make the switch.
This will be Huard's second start of the season. He started in Week Two against the Raiders but threw only four passes before leaving with a neck injury.
Opening-day starter Brodie Croyle almost certainly will get his job back upon returning from a separated shoulder. He's hopeful to be back for the Oct. 19 contest with the Titans.
