DecemberDec. 16, 2008 Peterson's resignation puts status of Chiefs coach Edwards up in the air Carl Peterson has resigned as Chiefs president, general manager and chief executive officer, effective at the end of the season, owner Clark Hunt announced Monday. The announcement comes a day after the Chiefs squandered an 18-point lead to division-rival San Diego, a loss that sunk Kansas City's record to 2-12. Dating back to last season, the Chiefs have lost 21 of their last 23 games.
