Chargers sign TE Wilson, OL Forney

The Chargers announced the signings of a pair of veteran players, TE Kris Wilson and OL Kynan Forney, on Monday.
To make room for them on the roster, the Chargers released FB Andrew Pinnock and placed C Cory Withrow on injured reserve. Withrow suffered a hamstring injury in the preseason finale on Friday night.
Wilson has caught 42 passes for 345 yards and four touchdowns in 49 career games. He was originally a second-round draft pick of the Chiefs in 2004. He signed with the Eagles as a free agent this offseason, but was released in the final roster cutdown on Saturday. He will provide depth to the TE position, which took a hit when Scott Chandler suffered a season-ending toe injury in the final preseason game.
Forney is an eight-year NFL veteran who was released by the Falcons as they made their final cuts. He has primarily seen action at guard and has started 88 games in his career.
