Millen on the way out in Detroit

Sept. 24, 2008
FoxSports.com and a local radio station reported Wednesday morning that the Lions are letting go team president and CEO Matt Millen, who has been frequently under fire due to the team's disappointing 31-84 record under his direction the last seven-plus seasons.
Millen was reportedly informed of the move last night. It is unclear if he was fired or removed himself after Bill Ford Jr. went on record a few days ago as saying he would fire Millen if he had the authority to do so.
The Lions are off to another terrible start at 0-3 under head coach Rod Marinelli, one of three head coaches under Millen who have been unable to turn the Lions into a respectable NFL franchise.
