Lions finally get rookie Dizon into camp

The Lions got off to a late start, but they finally have their entire rookie class at training camp.
The team announced it has signed second-round LB Jordon Dizon to a four-year contract, but terms were not immediately available.
Dizon is expected to vie for the starting MLB spot, but he missed the first three practices. He signed Friday in between practices of the two-a-day sessions and joined his teammates in drills.
Head coach Rod Marinelli didn’t mention Dizon by name during his Thursday media session, but it was clear the coach wanted his last remaining unsigned rookie in camp.
“Every day you miss is catch-up time,” Marinelli said. “They’re trying to catch up in the offseason because they’re behind in the offseason. They can’t come here until a certain time, and once they come to camp, it’s all about the base you put in. All the structure and base that you put in the first day — you can’t repeat it.”
Dizon was arrested for driving under the influence on April 20, only six days before the draft, in Colorado. The Lions admitted recently that they were not aware of the arrest until last month when reports surfaced.
