Report: Rudi Johnson agrees to terms with Lions

Ex-Bengals RB Rudi Johnson has reportedly agreed to terms with the Lions, according to Tom Kowalski of MLive.com. Kowalski reports that the Lions have confirmed the move. The deal, which is for one year, is expected to become official on Tuesday.
Johnson was released over the weekend by the Bengals. He was a very productive back in Cincinnati from 2004-06, when he topped 1,300 yards each season during that span. However, he is coming off a subpar '07 campaign, which was plagued by hamstring issues, and he finished with 497 yards and three touchdowns.
It is expected that Johnson will replace Tatum Bell as the Lions' No. 2 running back behind rookie Kevin Smith, although Detroit is likely to use a platoon-type attack in the backfield.
