Ex-Vikings DE Darrion Scott has been suspended three games by the NFL for violating the league's conduct policy, according to an ESPN.com report.
By pleading guilty to a gross misdemeanor last week for child endangerment for putting a plastic dry cleaning bag over his 2-year-old son's head, Scott avoided a trial.
Scott had also been arrested in December after a traffic stop revealed a small amount of marijuana in his car, and the combination of the two incidents gave the NFL cause to suspend him.
The four-year NFL veteran is a free agent. If he signs with a team, he will have to sit out the first three regular-season games.
