Still on roster during '07 season*: 23
Starters*: 9
Pro Bowlers: 1
In four of the past five drafts, the Falcons chose a defender with their top pick, and three of the first picks have been cornerbacks. The franchise’s commitment to defense has built a decent foundation on that side of the ball. The team clearly found a gem with the 2004 selection of DeAngelo Hall, who has made the Pro Bowl twice. Roddy White, the only offensive player Atlanta used a top choice on, has emerged this season after looking like a bust through his first two years. It will be hard to find a draft much worse than the Falcons had in 2003 — none of the six players they added are on the current roster.
