After experiencing swelling in his left knee, Saints RB Deuce McAllister had an MRI of the knee Saturday, which showed no problems, he said.
McAllister sat out the team’s Saturday morning practice after having fluid drained from the knee. He had undergone surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the same knee last year, which cut short his season after three games. Over the past three years, McAllister has had reconstructive surgery on both knees.
The 29-year-old running back has rushed for more than 1,000 yards in four of the past six seasons, falling short only when his season was ended prematurely because of an injury.
